GRO Landscapes awarded a Silver Gilt Award for their garden “Ripple” at the Sandringham Flower Show 2011

Garden Designer and Landscape contractor Guy Ormes of GRO Landscapes recently entered a show garden for Sandringham Flower Show 2011 and was awarded a Silver Gilt Award for their garden “Ripple”.

The garden was based on the theme of raindrops and the ripples they create when hitting water. Constructed by Guy & Vicky Ormes and Jack Warner using a range of natural slate paddlestone and cobbles for the ripples, complimented with soft plantings of Agapanthus and Hucheras and specially commissioned glass raindrops.

The garden was judged by celebrity television garden designers Chris Beardshaw and Alan Mason shown sitting in the arbour of the garden.

“This was the first time we entered Sandringham Flower Show and hope to build a garden there again next year. The Sandringham Medal adds to our RHS and professional accreditation status within the landscape design and build industry.”
